What are the Internet Autopsy Database Image Links?
The IAD Image Links access a collection of over 5,000
JPEG-compressed versions of images reproduced from
the Armed Forced Institute of Pathology (AFIP) Electronic Fascicles.
As compressed JPEG images, they lack some of the detail of the original
AFIP images, and we encourage purists to view the uncompressed images
on the CD-ROM series of the AFIP fascicles.
AFIP fascicles are a U.S. government publication,
and are not subject to copyright restrictions.
However, contained in the fascicles are a subset of images donated by
individual pathologists, or reproduced with permission from copyrighted
works. We have tried to provide links to only those AFIP images
with no copyright, i.e., links to images donated to the AFIP fascicles
from third parties are excluded. If any of the links on this page
retrieve copyrighted images, please let us know, and we will take
fast action to remove the link. Please send queries to the
IAD administrator:
webmaster@netautopsy.org .
